Saturday June 27, 2009 Welfare association to hold PMR and SPM seminar
IN DOING its part for the community, Ti-Ratana Welfare Society is all set to host its PMR and SPM seminar for students. The event, which the welfare association co-organised with Perfection Training Academy assures professional delivery by experts in the field of education. According to a statement from the society, examination candidates could expect valuable tips supported by sets of notes encompassing key features of the individual subjects taught on the day. Meanwhile, Ven. K. Sri. Dhammaratana, the Chief High Priest of Malaysia, who is also the Founder and Advisor of Ti-Ratana Welfare Society, said the organisers would be propagating unity in the seminars. “We will be bringing in an Imam as well as Christian, Hindu and Buddhist priests to bless the students during the seminar,’’ Dhammaratana said. He added that prayers by all the religions would be conducted on the same platform. He said the event will also propagate good ethics and behaviour among the students. “I think everyone realises that the youth of today appear to have deviated from age old teachings of good behaviour and religious values, looking at the many reports of crime and social misdeed attributed to youth. “What is even more worrying is the lack of understanding among the youth of today about the various races and religions in the country,” Dhammaratana added. The PMR seminar will be held tomorrow and the SPM seminar on July 19. These events will be held at the Kolej Bandar Utama Hall.
